I wish to inform everyone of the following activities. You are all invited to participate and we hope to see you all:
21 June 2009 (Sunday) 6:30 p.m.
Unveiling Ceremony of the "Open Doors" Monument
Holocaust Memorial Park, Rishon LeZion
The much awaited Philippine monument in Rishon LeZion will be unveiled on 21 June 2009. After 3 years of waiting, we will finally see the monument, which we should all be proud of. The monument is erected in recognition of the Philippines' role in saving Jews during the Holocaust. This is a historical event in our hhistroy because this is something we could be proud of as Filipinos in Israel.
Tourism Secretary Ace Durano will be flying from the Philippines to Israel to witness the inauguration. He will be the official guest of the Israeli government.
In this regard, we would like to invite everyone to join us. It would be good if the organizations could send at least 5 representatives each so we can show our support. We will be providing a bus from Tel Aviv to Rishon LeZion and back. The event will be for one or two hours.
Attire, if possible, is Filipiniana.
Because of the limited space for the bus. Please confirm participation ASAP through this email. Paki confirm the name of the group and the number of people coming and riding the bus.

This is our celebration. We would like to encourage everyone to attend and also it is our duty to invite ALL our members to attend plus bring your friends and let's make this celebration a success through your attendance.

Where: Beit Dani
When: June 27, 2009, 7:00 P.M.
* it was being agreed that the celebration will start with the parade to be followed by the community mass and then program proper begins (Search for Mr. and Ms. independence Day kids and adults, Cultural Show).
* assembly time is 6:00 P.M., parade starts at 7:00 P.M.
b.) Search for Mr. and Ms. Independence (kids and
adults)
b.1) 1 pair of kids and adults for
every organization.
b.2) Criteria for judging
Best in Custome --- 30%
Personality --- 40%
Question and answer --- 30%

c.) Cultural Show
* it was agreed that there will be presentation and not competition for the cultural show ( ethnic group presentation for every organization) and every participating Organization will receive a certificate of participation.
* for submission of presentation for cultural show e-mail it to Sir Chester until Sunday, June 5, 2009.
